Kelly Casanova has been teaching West Coast Swing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1981. In addition to her local weekly classes and dances, Kelly has travelled throughout the United Stated competing, teaching, and judging.

Kelly holds several Championship titles, most notably:

1988 U.S. Open Classic Swing Dance Champion (with partner Dominic Yin)

1994 U.S. Open Jack &Jill Championship (with partner Tom Paderna)

Kelly is an inductee into both the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame and the National Swing Dance Hall of Fame and has received several local awards for her contributions to the swing community. Among her many contributions, Kelly is proud to be a champion of gender free discrimination in swing contests by hosting her own event in 1999 “Swing Break”-an event that allowed people to compete based on ability and not on gender. She is well known for encouraging her students to learn to both lead and follow.

Kelly currently teaches in Santa Rosa, Novato, and Emeryville. For schedules, cost, and details of her classes, workshops, and dances, go to her website:
